I wanted a compact paper cutter for odds and ends craft projects with the grandkids. This works beautifully to cut straight edges. It’s got a good grid, a ridge to align the paper to be sure it’s straight, and it doesn’t slide off the table when you use it. To make the cut, you press the cutter blade button down to engage the blade in the direction you’re cutting, so if you want to cut down and back, you tip the blade one direction for the first cut, and the other direction for the second cut. My old paper cutter didn’t require pressing the blade one direction or another, so I had to figure that out on my own. Overall, it’s durable, it cuts accurate lines, and it can be stored with a minor footprint. Easy enough for my 5 year old grandson to use safely.
